Overview
The Playground Rehab @ Wascana project will benefit children with physical and/or cognitive disabilities, families who travel from out of town including those who access the respite services at the Centre, long-term residents and their families.
The project will include a new play structure that meets safety and accessibility guidelines while acting as a therapeutic resource. It will include easy, fun access for people of all abilities and will encourage imaginative, social, and physical types of play. Consultation with therapists has allowed us to obtain the optimal design and function of the area. Redesigned landscaping will also provide residents and families with an improved greenspace and picnic area.
The Refresh Grant Money would allow us to fill the funding gap we currently face and complete the project according to our proposed timeline.
